The Subaru Impreza Is Impressive As Ever for 2016

Though the Subaru Impreza recently saw a major upgrade for the 2015 model-year, the automaker wasn't going to let it go unnoticed for the new model year. And while none of its changes represent any huge shift in style or performance, the 2016 Subaru Impreza is, as always, a solid contender in the compact car segment.

For 2016, it keeps:

• Standard 2.0L BOXER four-cylinder engine
• Trim level selection (2.0i, 2.0i Premium, 2.0i Limited, 2.0i Sport Premium, 2.0i Sport Limited
• Standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive

It adds:

• New STARLINK capability
• Enhanced connectivity
• More available tech in lower trim levels

There are theories that Subaru didn't put excessive changes into the 2016 Impreza model because of massive modifications in the works for next year's 2017 model.
