What's New for 2026?
Arriving in the fall of 2025, the Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid joins the Subaru lineup as a brand-new nameplate for the 2026 model year. It's largely similar to the gas-powered Crosstrek but with a more potent and efficient battery-assisted powertrain. The Crosstrek Hybrid also introduces a few exclusive exterior details, including two new paint colors (Sand Dune Pearl and Citron Yellow Pearl) and 18-inch dark gray wheels.
Performance
Like the recently launched Forester Hybrid, the 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid leverages Subaru's latest "series-parallel" hybrid system to improve efficiency without compromising capability. The powertrain combines a 2.5-liter Atkinson/Miller-cycle Subaru BOXER® engine with two electric motors, producing 194 total horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque.
Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive ensures confident handling in various conditions, while the X-MODE® traction management system helps optimize grip on loose or slippery surfaces. The Crosstrek Hybrid also comes standard with Hill-Descent Control and an impressive 8.7 inches of ground clearance.
