100 Women Strong OHIO Impacts Lives of Women and Children with Grant from Ken Ganley Subaru - Marie P
100 Women Strong OHIO is grateful for the opportunity to once again partner with Ken Ganley Subaru to help further our mission to positively impact the lives of women and children throughout Northeast Ohio. The Ken Ganley Subaru's generous donation to our giving circle will allow us to grant charities working Over the past eight years, we have established strong relationships with charities and organizations that have used our grants to build a community porch for human trafficking victims, furnish apartments for kids graduating from foster care programs, provide resources and financial aid for memorial expenses to parents suffering the loss of a child, develop equine programs for mental health treatment, and so much more. This year alone we helped 11 charities affect a positive change in our community! The Grant from Ken Ganley Subaru will make such a difference in our efforts to spread the love throughout the community, impacting even more underserved women and children this year! 100 Women Strong OHIO and Seeds of Literacy Plant Education Roots with Grant from Ken Ganley Subaru - Kerry K
At Seeds of Literacy, our mission is to provide free, personalized education to empower adults to thrive in our community. Our Adult Basic Education program meets learners where they are—whether they are working toward a high school equivalency (GED), building basic reading skills, or improving foundational knowledge to advance their career. Seeds offers a unique, flexible structure and individualized curriculum that allows students to work at their own pace and level, one-to-one with a volunteer tutor. We have two Cleveland classrooms offering in-person tutoring and a Virtual Classroom, serving students from across the state. Many students are balancing jobs, parenting, and financial responsibilities while pursuing their education. Approximately 99 percent reside in low-income households and more than half are caring for dependent children. While our core focus remains on literacy and GED preparation, we are equally committed to helping students set and achieve long-term academic and career goals. For most students, Seeds is the only path to employment, postsecondary education, career training, and a better future. Impact of Gift The generous grant received from the 100 Women Strong OHIO and Ken Ganley Subaru through the Subaru Share the Love campaign will support volunteer recruitment and training. Volunteers are the heart of Seeds of Literacy. Our work simply would not be possible without them. Since launching the Virtual Classroom in 2020, annual enrollment has remained above 1,500 students—approximately 40% higher than pre-pandemic levels. To meet this increased demand, we have worked hard to grow our volunteer tutor pool from around 280 to nearly 400 trained tutors. Continued investment in volunteer engagement is essential to maintaining one-to-one tutoring access for our students. There are no prerequisites to become a volunteer tutor, only a willingness to help others learn. Volunteers receive five hours of initial training and may shadow experienced tutor/student pairs until they feel comfortable working independently. Many volunteers prefer to focus on a specific subject area, such as math or reading, and we honor these preferences whenever possible.
100 Women Strong OHIO and Ken Ganley Subaru Help Heart of Ohio Diaper Bank Provide Hygiene Items - Shannon H
We want to say thank you so much to 100 Women Strong OHIO and Ken Ganley Subaru for supporting Heart of Ohio Diaper Bank through the Subaru Share the Love campaign. We are incredibly grateful for your partnership and belief in our mission! Heart of Ohio Diaper Bank and our HER Project (Helping Educated and Reduce Period Poverty) initiative work to ensure that families across our region have access to basic hygiene essentials including diapers, period products, and incontinence supplies. Because these items are not covered by assistance programs such as SNAP or WIC, many families struggle to afford them while also paying for food, housing, utilities, and auto expenses. Our mission is to alleviate diaper need, period poverty, and incontinence insecurity by collecting, sourcing, and distributing diapers, menstrual supplies, and hygiene products free of charge through a trusted network of 35 Community Distribution Site Partners across nine Ohio counties. In addition to supporting our distribution partners, we also provide emergency and supplemental support through our Little Bottoms Blessing program, helping organizations such as Akron Children's Hospital Food Farmacy and Kent City Health Department meet urgent hygiene needs within the communities they serve. This month, Heart of Ohio Diaper Bank distributed 98,542 essential items. Funding from the Subaru Share the Love campaign will help us continue purchasing and distributing thousands of diapers and hygiene products to families in need. These supplies help keep babies healthy by preventing painful rashes and infections, allow parents to maintain employment by meeting childcare diaper requirements, and help teenage girls, women, and adults maintain comfort, dignity, and independence.

Ken Ganley Subaru of Bedford was the title sponsor of the 18th annual Spooky Pooch Parade in Lakewood, OH. We partnered with Lakewood Alive to present another successful Halloween Pet Parade. Over 35 vendors and a beautiful autumn day combined to make this the largest Spooky Pooch ever!
The Gathering Place - Jill S
We are so grateful to Ken Ganley Subaru of Bedford for making The Gathering Place a nonprofit recipient of the Share the Love initiative. This generous donation has been tremendously valuable, helping us keep our services free of charge to those with cancer. For the past 25 years, The Gathering Place has been able to address the social emotional, physical and spiritual needs of those who have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis. During that time over 50,000 benefited from the free cancer support services at The Gathering Place. Without Ken Ganley Subaru of Bedford and the generous support from the Share the Love program, this would not have been possible. We are so grateful!

Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Ken Ganley Subaru Bedford is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Ken Ganley Subaru Bedford have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/16/2025, Ken Ganley Subaru Bedford donated 204 shoes/socks to Abraham Lincoln Elementary School. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

Being selected as a Hometown Charity for the Ken Ganley Subaru of Bedford Share the Love® Campaign is an incredible honor for the Northeast Ohio branch of Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana. This partnership is a powerful reflection of the Ken Ganley Subaru of Bedford team's commitment to the community and the life-changing power of a wish. In 2024, this campaign raised an amazing $18,288—and in 2023, an extraordinary $29,788—all to support the wishes of children battling critical illnesses right here in Northeast Ohio. With the average cost of one wish being $10,000, this campaign has helped grant five life-changing wishes over the past two years. These aren’t just numbers—they represent significant moments of hope, joy, and strength for local children and families facing some of life’s most difficult challenges.
